Dyn released its 2016 review of the top global Internet providers.
Noting the lack of IPv6 adoption at the Internet’s edge, Dyn based its analysis solely on global IPv4 rankings.
For the first time in 5 years, 2 US carriers were in the top 3: Level 3 with a healthy lead at #1 and Cogent in the #3 spot.
With CenturyLink’s proposed acquisition of Level 3 in late 2017, Dyn expects the new merged entity will maintain its top position for years to come.
