As the free pool nears depletion, ARIN gets ready to activate the IPv4 waiting list.

With IPv4 exhaustion just around the corner, ARIN expects that it will be activating its waiting list for IPv4 numbers in the next 30-60 days.   However there still will be options available to companies while on the waiting list, according to ARIN's CEO and president.  One option will be to begin a migration to IPv6.  The other option  -  the IPv4 transfer market.  For companies who still need IPv4 numbers, the transfer market will be the only way they can continue to have access to IPv4 numbers once the free pool is depleted.  Read More
