IPv4 Continues to Dominate Internet Connections in 2014

In 2014, a few of the largest Internet service providers employed IPv6, but there is limited momentum generally because network providers continue to depend on IPv4.

Geoff Huston, in his 2014 annual report on the status of the Internet and Internet addressing, analyzes IPv4 and IPv6 allocations and assignments across all RIRs and reviews the current transfer market.
